Direct Valuation Solutions (DVS) provides unbiased services to appraisers and lenders, introducing them to each other, on a unique platform, without third-party involvement. Their goal is to simplify the appraisal process, allowing both the appraiser and the lender greater control over their work environment.

Challenge

DVS was in the startup stages of creating an innovative platform for the real estate appraising and lending market. The client had a staff that was experienced in analytics, as well as those experienced in the supervision of software projects, however, they still required deep technical expertise and experience in developing “Software as a Service” solutions.

SOLUTION

SaM Solutions was selected as the dedicated partner with extensive mortgage vertical background, in order to provide full cycle of software conception, design and implementation. SaM Solutions’ specialists fully developed and implemented a web-based SaaS platform that allows real estate appraisers and mortgage lenders to effectively cooperate with each other. The software creates an unbiased platform where both sides can interact in a pressure-free environment. The processes involved are automated to a certain extent, and are simplified allowing for quick and easy interaction.

The software also eliminates the need to involve third parties, removing any unnecessary fees and allowing the user to charge their own fees for the services provided. It allows the user to be in complete control, customizing their profile, fees, and the like.

In addition, the system allows users to:

• Create payment history reports
• Access the latest industry information

The system is AIR/Dodd-Frank compliant, identifying and soliciting appraisers based on licensing, designation, past performance, location, and more. It organizes all pertinent knowledge, making the process of choosing a partner more convenient and hassle-free. It also provides information on past transaction history of properties, appraiser notices, property alerts, and sale and listing comparables, with an optional AVM value.
